Q&A with Supervisor John Cochran
Tell me about your journey at ERMCO.

I started at ERMCO right out of high school in 2014. I worked in the Three Phase Core Coil Assembly Department. I knew at 18 that wherever I landed career-wise was where I wanted to stay, and I knew that ERMCO wasn't going anywhere because the world needs power, so I chose ERMCO. "I came in and gave it my all. I knew what my supervisor expected and what the company stood for. I made sure my work was to the best of my ability, and I never called in."

What are the most important parts of my job at ERMCO?

SAFETY and QUALITY! We all want to go home to our loved ones the same we came to work. Your work defines who you are! The customer expects a reliable, quality-built product, and we must do our best to meet that expectation.

How can I support our team and add value to ERMCO?

"Love thy neighbor." Be kind to your teammates and make the best of your work day. Offer a helping hand when needed. You never know what someone is dealing with when they leave work.

What is the chain of command if I have questions, concerns or suggestions about my work environment?

Speak with your shift leader because they will most likely be your first point of contact. But always know that you can come to me with any concerns. We are all human.

What is the best way for me to communicate with you?

My cell is the most efficient way, but if you can't reach me contact your shift leader. They make sure that I get the message.

If I can't make it to work, what do I do?

Contact your Shift Leader at ..... at least one hour prior to your shift. If no one answers, leave a clear, concise message with your first and last name and the reason why you won't be at work. This allows us time to make sure your job is covered.
